The owners brought the dog back to the shelter after 4 months because she wanted to sleep in their bed.

Regrettably, there are a variety of explanations for why people give back their pets to shelters, but I had never heard of someone doing so because their dog wanted to sleep in the bed with them - until Twinkle came along. This Chihuahua mix was taken in by a family for four months before being returned to the shelter.

Twinkle was in a dire state when she was discovered wandering the streets of Miami; she had serious dental problems, mammary tumors, and a severe skin infection that had caused her to lose most of her fur. Weighing in at just 3.5 pounds, she was provided with medical care and, eventually, was taken in and adopted by a loving couple.

Sadly, the family returned the pup to the shelter after she snuggled into their bed. We hope this sweet girl finds the perfect home soon, one where she can curl up in bed with her loving family. Watch the video below to learn more about her.

Spread the word to your family and friends.
