As he drove along 200 miles into his journey in China, a man heard barking coming from the front of his car. Pulling over to investigate, he was amazed to discover a puppy stuck in the bumper - and miraculously, it was still alive.
The driver had an excuse for hitting the pooch some ways back. He said, "I was going at a decent speed and when I struck the dog, I assumed it either perished or had taken off, so I didn't get out of the car to investigate."
The driver drove all 248 miles to a vet, where the dog was released from the bumper. After being given a clean bill of health, he decided to take the pup home with him and adopt it, as he felt it was the right thing to do.
"The near-miss of the dog left me deeply moved. It felt like this was a sign of our fated relationship. The takeaway from this experience? Always be mindful of your surroundings and take the necessary precautions to prevent hitting any animals - our lives depend on it!"
