A 5-month-old Siberian Husky tragically lost its life in its owner's backyard after being attacked by a 67-year-old man.

Sky, a five-month-old Siberian Husky, was tragically killed by 67-year-old Brian Benjamin in Niagara Falls, NY. Dave Bower, Falls Police Animal Control Officer, reported that Sky had been heard yelping while on a leash in a fenced-in backyard. The boyfriend of the owner rushed to the backyard after hearing the cries, and reportedly saw Benjamin, the perpetrator, standing over the lifeless dog. Benjamin was able to flee the yard, but was soon apprehended by authorities.

Melissa Cummings, the owner, took Sky to the nearest vet, unfortunately it was too late. The Cornell Animal Health Diagnostic Center concluded that the cause of death was due to severe blunt force trauma, which resulted in the police arresting Benjamin. Nonetheless, Melissa Cummings and her boyfriend remain doubtful that he will be punished. What is your opinion?
